Appointed by the City of London, the programme seeks to breathe new life into one of London’s most important cultural buildings. Representing the most significant investment in the Barbican Centre since its opening in 1982, the Renewal Programme will preserve its Grade II-listed Brutalist architecture while renewing the complex for those who will shape its next chapter.
