NEW PROJECT: World Shakespeare Campus Masterplan
Greenway Associates are proud to be part of a landmark heritage project in Stratford-upon-Avon: the development of a long-term masterplan for Shakespeare’s birthplace and its surrounding cultural spaces. Spearheaded by BDP (Building Design Partnership Ltd) and backed by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, the scheme will reimagine one of the UK’s most treasured historic sites, creating a world-class destination that celebrates the legacy of Shakespeare.
Henley Street - the building where Shakespeare was born
This £100 million vision, known as the World Shakespeare Campus, will see the regeneration of Henley Street, Shakespeare’s birthplace, and the adjoining Shakespeare Centre. It also includes plans to explore a new World Shakespeare Museum on a nearby 35,000m² site called Stratford-upon-Avon Gateway.
The campus is set to bring new life to the town with exhibition and learning spaces, an archive, performance venues, a museum, shops, cafés, and improved public areas—all aimed at making Stratford-upon-Avon an even stronger global destination for Shakespeare’s legacy.
As Cost Managers for the Capex, Greenway Associates are proud to support this exciting project and help bring the vision to life.
